OOTD BY MRS. A | JUMPSHORTS – YAY OR NAY?

I honest to goodness ABSOLUTELY love JUMPSHORTS! I have a lot of pairs of jumpshorts lying around my closet and there are some that I haven’t even worn yet. But the thing is, not all girls are a fan of it though.

I remember wearing this pair of jumpshorts one time while I was doing a little bit of overtime work at the office one Saturday. My officemate’s face, when she saw my outfit, was in complete horror and she was like “girl, di nagyud nako kaya musuot ug ana usab” (girl, I can’t imagine myself wearing something like that again).

I was a bit dumbfounded with her reaction but I was curious with why she didn’t like the idea of wearing jumpshorts. There, she gave me two reasons based on her past experience when she wore something like this one time while on a date with friends:

1.)Camel Toe – ahh yes, the dreaded shape that forms between a woman’s legs because of that fashion faux pas. Apparently the jumpshorts she wore were quite… errrr… small for her. So she endured the judgmental stares of the people that day because when she realized what was going on down there, it was already too late to go home (talk about northern mall, southern house). Oh, and she had to endure the playful teases of her friends too. Such a bummer with matching face-palm if you ask me.

2.) Going to the loo – same day, another experience: She has a hard time when she had to go to the bathroom to pee because she had to remove the whole thing before she could sit on the toilet. The jumpshorts she wore had a zipper at the back and she had to ask a complete stranger to pull it down for her so that she could pee. And she had to ask another complete stranger to zip it right back up. (If you are wondering where the friends were, I had no idea as well ha ha!)

No further horror stories here but she just found it to be a bit of a hassle and well, embarrassing!

After hearing her out, she did have good points as to why wearing jumpshorts is not really a great idea. But for me, I guess the fashion mishap she did was because she wore something that didn’t exactly fit her right. The jumpshorts she wore was too small for her that’s why a camel toe formed between her legs which caused her loads of embarrassment that day.

Verdict: If she wore something that was a bit loose, I don’t think she would have those problems. Like the jumpshorts I wore in this post, I specifically picked this one out because it was loose and quite bigger in size from my usual outfits which made it very comfortable to wear.

Picking the right size for your body is basically a no-brainer when it comes to buying clothes. Never wear something that would make you uncomfortable. Wearing designer brands and the best designs are useless if that particular outfit does not complement your body at all.

So as for the jumpshorts, YAY or NAY? For me, it’s still a complete YAY! Again, here a tip: Pick a pair of jumpshorts that are quite loose so that you won’t have the camel toe problem. As for the zipper at the back situation, well just be prepared to make new friends in the bathroom in case you don’t have family or friends to zip it up and down for you.
