MUNCHIN' AWAY WITH GRABFOOD EVERYDAY VALUE MEALS

If you're a typical office worker such as yours truly, I am confident that you can pretty much relate on how it feels to have days that you are so busy at work that sometimes, you don't even have the luxury to go out to buy lunch and instead, just order food with a few clicks of a button on your cellphone. This, my friends, is where GRABFOOD has saved my life (and sanity) multiple times since its existence.

Majority of the time, I bring "baon" to work every single day. Whatever food there is for breakfast is usually what I have for lunch. But on the days where silly ol' mum (ehem... me) forgets to bring lunch from home, I grab my cellphone, open the GRABFOOD app and order what I feel like eating on that particular day.

Not only that, but there are also days when we feel down or even the total opposite - on days when we feel like we want to celebrate even the smallest wins - most of time FOOD is always a part of the equation.

Good thing GRABFOOD has more affordable options which is perfect for a regular office worker like myself. Starting at 99 pesos, GRABFOOD customers can order and enjoy more food options without breaking the bank.

For the last couple of days, this section on the GRABFOOD app has been my go to for affordable lunch and snack options. Allow me to share with you some of my favorite eats under this section thus far:

1.) Sisig from BOODELS LUTONG BAHAY

Sisig (Php 385)

On days when I want to celebrate small wins or on days when I just really crave for Sisig, this number from Boodels Lutong Bahay is the answer! I am honestly not a sisig fan but this one is just one of my favorite sisig dishes so far. Good thing this is available on GRABFOOD.

2.) Pies from CECIL's

Pineapple Pie (Php 350)

Egg Pie (Php 400)
Whenever we have big bosses from out of town who come and visit, we make sure they get a taste of these delicious pies from none other than one of Davao's best - CECIL's. Two of the pies that I like from Cecil's are the PINEAPPLE PIE and the EGG PIE. Luckily, these two are available also on GRAB and ordering pies such as these two is just easy.

3.) Party Tray from SOUTHWING CAFETERIA

Party Tray (Php 1,089)
It's always a great feeling to relax and unwind with your officemates once in a while during lunch. This party tray (which consists of 24 pieces - boneless or wings) from Southwing Cafeteria is a great option to order and fit for a party of 5 to 6. My personal favorite flavors are Soy Garlic, Lemon Pepper, BBQ Glazed and Classic.

4.) Cheese Tempura from SUKIDESU JAPANESE STREET DINING

Cheese Tempura (Php 115)
Beef Gyudon (Php 169)

Chashu Ramen (Php 180)
If you're a fan of cheese (Chis-su) like me, then this cheese tempura is a must try! I first tried this back in August 2022 and have been ordering this on days when I feel like I deserve a snack in the middle of the afternoon. Aside from the Cheese tempura, I also love to order Chashu Ramen and Gyudon from Sukidesu Japanese Street Dining . These three, ladies and gents, are definitely a must try!

5.) Fried Taco from TACO BOY

Fried Taco (3 pieces for Php 115)
I have always been a fan of Taco Boy's fried tacos since forever! I have tried other fried tacos from other restaurants but honestly, nothing comes close to that of Taco Boy's very delicious and mouth watering fried tacos. I usually order this for merienda and order a few pieces to bring home to the family. Yes, they love fried tacos too!

6.) Classic B. Burnt Cheesecake and Caramel Macchiato from THE DOUGH STORY BAKERY CAFE

Classic B. Burnt Cheesecake (Php 155) and Caramel Macchiato (Php 165)
STRESSED when spelled backwards is DESSERTS. On days when I feel so stressed and down, I give myself a break and eat sweets such as these from The Dough Story Bakery Cafe. I personally love their Caramel Macchiato and their B. Burnt Cheesecake contains just the right amount of sweetness to perk me up. They have two branches now, Marfori and Matina.

7.) Plain Lugaw and Beef Brisket Noodles from CHIKOY'S LUGAWAN

Plain Lugaw (Php 60) & Beef Brisket Noodles (Php 160 Pesos)

My husband and I are fans of Chikoy's Lugawan and we have basically tried everything on their menu already. Two of our favorites would be their Plain Lugaw and Beef Brisket Noodles. These two are a must try for sure!

8.) Halo Halo and Mais Con Yelo from LA HALO HALO

Mais Con Yelo & Halo Halo (Php 139 each)

This is probably one of my proudest GRABFOOD finds to date. When I was craving for Mais Con Yelo, I took a chance and ordered from LA HALO HALO. Lo and behold, I did not regret doing so! The cream is so thick and has the right amount of sweetness that I like. Plus, the serving is quite generous too. I tried the Halo Halo as well and yes, no regrets here too.

Head on to GRABFOOD's app and check out other affordable options which are perfect for your next lunch or snack. If you don't have the app just yet, download it now!

Happy munching!
