OOTD BY MRS. A | PAINTING THE TOWN RED

WHAT I WORE: Red Garfield Sweater, bought from Divisoria | Denim Shorts, SM Department Store | Red Booties, Enzo Shoppe by Sheryl Chan via Shopee App

What to wear on a semi-chilly summer night? I guess I have to say that this is it! How about merging the best of both seasons in one OOTD?

There goes my love for cats again. Say hello to Garfield, the orange fat and lazy cat who became a household name after being one of the most popular cartoons on television. Would you believe that I got this sweater for only 100 pesos at Divisoria? Such a steal!

Sweaters trap a bit of heat to balance out the coldness of the weather. I’ve seen people wear sweaters even the hottest of days and I honestly don’t want to imagine how they must truly feel inside. It must feel like there’s an oven inside their clothes. But anyway, that’s how it is. Sweaters are indeed made for chilly, cold weather and wearing them during warmer weathers would destroy the balance.

The denim shorts have been a closet staple of mine since 2010. I remember this is one of the clothes I first bought with my first salary from the bank I am currently connected with. (Yes, I still kept it after all this years. Lol) And why shouldn’t I? The quality is very good. I’ve worn it a couple of times already and to be honest, it still feels new and has no traces of age whatsoever. I chose to wear the denim shorts because I made it sort of a “stopper” so that there won’t be too much RED going on in my outfit. I’m all for mono colors in an outfit but just too much of that doesn’t seem cute to me.

The only shoes that matched my red sweater and denim shorts that night was this pair of red boots that I recently bought from Enzo Shoppe by Sheryl Chan using the Shopee Application. More about this pair and the other pairs of shoes that I bought in my other blog post (Click HERE) and also check out my Shoe Haul now on my Youtube Channel.

I like this outfit and I certainly like the color red in general. As for the boots, I’m so glad I bought them! Can’t wait to wear the boots and pair them with my other tops and bottoms in the near future.
